Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow mommies and mommies-to-be :)
My favorite part of Mother’s Day:
While I was making dinner, Lowell and the girls played hide & seek. Faith would close her eyes and count to ten. Most of the time, however, by the time she got to seven, she’d open her eyes and spot where Lowell was hiding! After a bit of laughing, we’d make her close her eyes and start again. Then, after she’d find him, with the help of Felicity and Aunty Grace, he’d go to “base” and count to ten. I would help her hide and tell her to be quiet so Daddy wouldn’t be able to find her. And, as Lowell walked around, opening doors saying, “Faaaith, where are you? Faith? Faith?” She’d say, “Yeah? I’m right here!” hahahha! She’d stay in her hiding spot, mind you, but was always sure to answer him calling for her. It made me laugh every time :)
I’d like to share a quote that I absolutely LOVE.
“The most important person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral—a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby’s body…The angels have not been blessed with such a grace. They cannot share in God’s creative miracle to bring new saints to Heaven. Only a human mother can. Mothers are closer to God the Creator than any other creature; God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation…What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this, to be a mother?” – Joseph Cardinal Mindszenty
I hope your Mother’s Day was blessed, that your hubbies spoiled you, and that your babies were especially well behaved!
